Embrace the beginning of a new day with a sense of fluid motion.
Flow is usually invigorating as the body moves fluidly through a sequence of postures paying attention to breath. The class usually begins with gentler movements to warm the body, then moves into a more challenging flow, which may include standing postures, balance and mild inversions. Postures are typically held for a short time before moving on to the next asana so the student can drop in to the sensation and follow the breath to the next pose. Instructors may pay attention to alignment and body placement (especially if you are new or getting back into yoga), with longer holds and graceful movement in and out of the posture with breath.
